Colleen Boomer, B.A., B.S.W., R.S.W (MCSW #3156)

I have been a social worker in a clinical setting for over 20 years. I specialize in working with children, adolescents and their parents. I am a registered Social Worker (RSW) as well, I hold a BSW and a BA: with a double major in Psychology and Sociology. I have extensive experience in working with children and youth experiencing mental health concerns (anxiety, depression, ADHD, suicidal thoughts, self injuring behaviour), grief and loss concerns, abuse concerns, supporting children/youth in adjusting to parental divorce, and I have considerable experience with parent-teen conflict. I also have experience in working with parents needing new parenting strategies and support.

I strongly believe children, youth and their parents are naturally resilient. With clinical support and guidance, most people can over come the struggles facing them and enjoy life to it’s fullest. I look forward to our future work together.
