I was a practicing teacher from 2014 to 2024, and I am a Certified Canadian Counsellor (Qualifying). I hold a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelors of Education from the University of Regina. My background in education has shaped an appreciation for learning and the unique challenges individuals face at different stages of life.
I have experience working with adolescents, youth, young adults, and adult clients. My therapeutic style is primarily relational and person-centered, grounded in the belief that a safe, trusting, and collaborative relationship is most important. I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy to meet the unique needs of each client.
I have a particular interest in supporting young adults navigate life transitions, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and emotional regulation. I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. I view clients as experts on their lives and work collaboratively to help them build insight, strategies, and tools to support them. I welcome the opportunities to support individuals from all walks of life and am committed to providing compassionate, respectful, and culturally sensitive care. Whatever challenges you are navigating, you do not have to go through them alone.
