Hello my name is Patricia (Patty). My area of experience has been working in crisis support services with survivors of domestic abuse. I have a wealth of knowledge regarding the cycle of abuse, safety planning, and the effects of trauma. Other areas I am passionate about are, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, and Autism.
I value the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship that encompasses empathy, trust, and respect. I hold hope for people when they struggle, and seek to understand an individual’s experience, culture, and worldview.
Through a trauma-informed lens, I utilize a person-centred and strength-based perspective – while appreciating how essential it is to draw from other modalities to walk alongside each unique individual.
