MACP Candidate Student Counselling Therapist
I am currently nearing completion of a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
Having always been driven to support people when making the choice to improve upon themselves, I completed my Bachelors of Kinesiology in 2018 at the University of Manitoba and have experience working with a variety of populations in exercise instruction and lifestyle counselling. Additionally as a Certified Yoga Instructor, I see the value of mindfulness and incorporate mindfulness-based practices into counselling.
My recent work as a Crisis Counsellor with Kids Help Phone and on the Manitoba Crisis and Suicide lines has helped reinforce my use of a humanistic approach, meeting clients with unconditional positive regard, and navigating possible solutions for obstacles they may encounter in their lives. Working collaboratively from a strengths-based approach, I want to support clients in building upon their pre-existing skills and knowledge of themselves to improve their overall wellbeing.
I value authentic connection with my clients and believe it is an honour to support you throughout your journey.
